History of MANKACHAR

Modern day MANKACHAR (HISTORY OF MANKACHAR):- 

 About Mankachar:-  Mankachar is a part of South salmara mankachar district(Assam),Indian.

 But Earlier in 20's it was a part of Dhubri district. Befor  that mankachar was under the district of Goalpara.

 Mankachar has played a major role for treaders early. 

Now also there is a International trade Center in mankachar. Though which Businessman import and export good between India and Bangladesh.

Population of mankachar:- The total population of mankachar is more then 26,100 (as per 2001 census data) 

Politics:- Mankachar falls under Dhubri (Lok Sabah constituency) MP :- Badruddin Ajmal (2020) . In term of Assam Legislative Assembly is named as 21 mankachar. MLA :- DR.MOTIUR ROHMAN MONDOL.(2020)

Location of mankachar:- In noth there is Brahmaputra, in South and East  - Meghalaya (state), in Wast there is Bangladesh (international border).

Language:- Official language Assamese. But there is a majority of Bangali who speaks Bangali (Ujani,shandar, batiya,Shandar,etc)

Connectivity :-

MANKACHAR was the gate way of Guwahati,Earlier at Axom Empire (Mughal emperor in delhi) as Because the Brahmaputra river Flows through this place. 

Mughal in Assam role of Lasith :-

Mughal has try to capture the Axom Empire but because of Lasit borphukan (great Minister of Axom Empire) they are unable to capture Axom Empire.

 MIRJUMAL'S DEATH IN MANKACHAR:- 

Mughal return to their kingdom (Mugal emperor) but on their way to their  kingdom their minister (Mugal's) Mirjumal was died because of constipation.

His dead body was found in this place (MANKACHAR)

Nomenclature of mankachar:-

 But After a long period of time.The Brahmaputra has changed its cource at that time mankachar was a Char (Beach) when Brahmaputra changed her course.

There is no one to live in this place. Then a man who name was Manik came here with his family members.

 By profession he was a treader he bought goods from Kolkata,Dhaka and many other places and sold those goods in Guwahati (Major city of North East india) Earlier known as Gauhati,Silong(Shillong) and many other parts of North East Inda.

     Then treaders started coming to this place and as because it was a Char,and only one person lives here who name is Manik so treaders started calling it as manik er char,

    Which means that there is a person whose name is manik and the place has nothing other then sand so treaders gave it a name as  manik er char

but as time passes away the place is named from manik er char to morden day " MANKACHAR".
